              Why I went to Hampi? I don’t know :P . Unlike my all other trips, I did not research much on this one. Partly because Saavi  had been there few years back plus she is from North Karnataka(yaya..wohi NorthIndiaSouthIndiawala types) and I , for once wanted it to be an unplanned trip..and it did not turn out to be one (*deep sigh*) So we took a late night bus to Hosapet(12km from Hampi).Being a back packer, all my essentials were lying  safely on my back. We reached Hosapet at around 8 am. The moment we got down from the bus ,we were surrounded by Autowalas(asking for a whooping Rs 200).We somehow dragged ourselves to the main bus stand and took bus to Hampi(thirty two rupees wonly).  Since I did not google much, the view of our guest house was quite unexpected. Ithe Bhetla Andaman -- The Beginning

I guess I was in seventh grade when my sister made me read it. Maajhi Janmathep. Veer Savarkar’s autobiography .His name evokes controversy, but a man who spent the best years of his life participating in a fierce struggle for the independence of the country, forgoing all comfort in life and consciously choosing the suffering and hardships when he could have opted to stay at home ,definitely deserves much more respect than the ignorance that has been given. Maajhi Janmathep gave me goosebumps.It was unbelievable how a person could maintain his sanity in the inhuman environment of Andaman Jail..and I wanted to see that place. And yeah..after all these years..I got the chance to tick Andaman off my travel checklist. Me and my two lets-pack-and-run friends religiously googled lowest flight fares from Chennai to Port Blair, hotel bookings, places to visit etc. The first question was shall we take a travel package or not? Goshhhh !! I slammed my room door shut and jumped over my bed. I had just returned from yet another trip; Mysore-Coorg with my beloved lunch gang. I was so tired that I dozed off only to get awakened by “Lag ja gale ke phirrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…”.Oh yeah! That’s my ringtone. I threw a sleepy glance at my phone screen. Mom calling!! A call you just can’t dare to miss plus I had so much to tell her. My mom is an awesome listener; particularly when her daughter is back after an “I-want-to-travel-around-the-world-madly” trip.  “ Ha  maa, I was back to Mysore campus. And I did river rafting too” I said. ” That can wait! What did the doctor say?” mom asked in her usual“I am your boss, my baby” tone. It took a three and half seconds time and then it hit me!
